If You Are Hankering for Something Snacky and Crunchy, Turn to These Air Fryer Favorites

If you aren’t familiar with air fryers by this point, we would question how long you’ve been living under a rock – no offense! But, if you’re looking to branch outside your normal repertoire of recipes, you should consider new methods of cooking. Speaking of which, air fryers are one of the most popular cooking accessories right now. What are they, exactly?

Well, air fryers work similar to a convection oven, cooking food at high temperatures, while simultaneously circulating dry air. This results in perfectly cooked foods with crispy and crunchy outer layers! If you’ve over making plain, old French fries in your air fryer, then you’ve come to the right place. Here are four awesome, new dishes to make with your air fryer.

Chicken Wings

Chicken Wings are a classic dish that always seem to have universal appeal. The next time you’re craving a big helping of fried wings, skip takeout and make some in your air fryer. All you have to do is cook one to two pounds of wings, turning once or twice, until the skin is browned and crisp. Pour sauce over the finished wings, toss to coat, and enjoy!

Egg Rolls

When it comes to cravings, Chinese food is high on the list. Fortunately, you can skip greasy delivery foods high in sodium and MSG by turning to your air fryer the next time you want egg rolls. Grab a pack of egg roll wrappers and fill them as desired – whether with savory or sweet ingredients. Roll them up, place them in your air fryer, and voila! You’ll have egg rolls that are soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside within 5 to 7 minutes.

Fried Shrimp

When you’ve tired of chicken, yet need to satisfy picky eaters or younger children, fried shrimp is another, all-American dinner option that can be completed to perfection using your air fryer. Much like chicken wings, simply coat raw shrimp with seasonings, fry for a few minutes, and remove the shrimp from the basket! Best of all, shrimp take mere minutes to air fry, so you can have dinner on the table in 10 minutes flat.

Hard-Cooked Eggs

Strange, but true: your air fryer can actually produce hard-boiled eggs, no boiling required! If your family loves egg salad but hates waiting around for eggs to boil on the stove top, try this method with your air fryer. Preheat the air fryer to 250°F, place your eggs in the basket, and cook for 16 minutes. Once 16 minutes have passed, place the eggs in a bowl of cold water for 10 minutes before peeling.
